Delicious and fresh from the field
Sowing seeds, weeding, planting, harvesting and hoeing: we set to work every day at Den Diepen Boomgaard to produce vegetables that are good to look at and good to eat.
Organic! It makes sense, don't you agree?
We apply an organic growing system in our garden, hence we use only organic fertilisers and green compost. Crop rotation is one of the key measures we use to avoid diseases. The cabbages and carrots are protected with horticultural fleece to ward off insects. We set to work with our hoes to keep down the weeds.
Garden of Eden
Our fields are located in the shadow of Grimbergen Abbey and are surrounded by wooded banks. This creates a delightful scenic view while providing nesting sites for birds which are very fond of the insects that attack our crops.
Fresh each day and biodiverse
Our harvest can be found in the farm shop and our vegetable boxes.
Our fresh vegetables are ideal for all caterers and restaurants.
Apart from time-honoured vegetables, such as lettuce, cauliflower and spinach, we also grow less well-known varieties, such as Swiss chard, parsnips and kohlrabi.
